An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced RVN to join and lead our nursing and support teams across two of our practices. This is a great chance to step into a Regional Head RVN role to manage a smaller, but mighty team.

As Regional Head RVN within our lovely team, alongside general nursing duties, your duties will include:
- Operational running of the floor, leading the nursing and support teams to best performance
- Overseeing team compliance with SOPs
- Delegating and directing areas of duty for the day/ week
- Overseeing and advising on patient care and level of treatment
- Attending daily rounds with the vet team to educate on treatment plans and observations to the support teams
- Daily minute team gathering to formulate a team plan for the day ahead
- Supporting Veterinary Surgeons in order to help with care
- Consistently encourage and review high levels of patient care with recommendations for improvement
- Leading and running of the day and helping Vet Team focus on what is required
- Training of Student Nurses & VCAs
- Hold monthly nurse meetings
- Manage overtime submissions for your team
- Training new clinical support teams
- Plotting of support team rotas to ensure sufficient cover and work with other practices in the region to provide support when required
- Ensure sufficient ordering of consumables and theatre equipment as required
- Reporting of equipment and maintenance issues
- Feedback team issues and concerns to the Area Manager
There are no Out of Hours required at these practices.
